WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO VERIFY YOUR ID:

1. A MOBILE OR WEB CAMERA

You can find this on your mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.

2. Government ID

A photo or upload of your Canadian or Ontario ID. Preferred IDs are an Ontario Driver’s License or Ontario Photo Card. 

Name and Date of Birth (Must be valid)

  • Ontario Driver’s License (recommended) 
  • Ontario Photo Card 
  • Canadian Passport

3. be camera ready

Ensure you have a clean background and good light to take a clear photo of yourself during the Express Verification process. You’ll take the photo with your mobile or web camera.

4. supporting documents

Don’t have an Ontario Driver’s License or Photo Card? Supporting Documents must include your full name, address and be issued within the last 2 months.

We are working to expand availability this soon. 

No. This feature is only available through a browser, either through your laptop, tablet or mobile device.

No. When uploading a double-sided photo ID, meaning there is writing on both sides of the identification (i.e. Driver's License), we recommend only the front side of the photo ID is uploaded. This should contain your image, full name, date of birth and address.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO VERIFY YOUR ID:

1. A MOBILE OR WEB CAMERA 
You can find this on your device or desktop computer. 

2. GOVERNMENT ID
A photo or upload of your Canadian or Ontario ID can include your Ontario Driver’s License or Ontario Photo Card. 

3. A SELFIE 
Take a photo of yourself with your camera on your device or desktop. 

4. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
Don’t have an Ontario Driver’s License or Photo Card? Supporting Documents must include your full name, address, and be issued within the last 2 months. 

5. INTERNET CONNECTION 
You’ll need a working internet connection to start the process.

The main difference between Express Verification and Document Verification is the time it will take for you to process your documents. 

You can finish your verification in under 15 minutes with our Express Verification tool. 

Our Document Verification is more of a manual process, subject to resource availability. This method can take over 14 days in some cases. 

No. We do not store your image. We use your image from your selfie to verify your identification and then it is deleted.

We use your data to verify your identity. It is based on the personal information that was supplied. 

Any Personal Information collected, used or disclosed in the course of providing and administering the Internet Gaming service may be stored by OLG or its third-party service providers outside the Province of Ontario or Canada and is retained in accordance with its records retention policies.

NOTICE OF COLLECTION 

By clicking the checkbox, you provide your voluntary, opt-in consent to OLG to permit OLG and OLG’s vendor, Persona, and their service providers, to collect and use your personal information, including biometric information, to verify your identity and prevent identity fraud during the online registration process. The information will be used in accordance with OLG’s Privacy and Cookie Policy and Persona’s Privacy Policy. The biometric information will be permanently deleted: i) after your selfie is compared to your ID (whether a match or non-match is determined), or ii) if you pause the registration process, after three days, to allow you to return to the registration process.
